(18/12/08) The NHS Pay Review Body has decided not to ask the government to review the pay settlement for 2009/10. They will however undertake a review of all the available evidence in autumn 2009 to consider whether to seek a remit from the Secretary of State to review the pay settlement contained in the agreement for 2010/11.

According to the NUS the decision by the Bank of England to drop its base interest rate from 3% to 2% will almost certainly mean that the student loan interest rate for income-contingent student loans will now drop, although it is unclear as to how much by.
